Label: Dekmantel
The dutch label, Dekmantel, started as a collective in 2007. It’s purpose was “to present different music in the capital city’s night-life, which was – at the time – dominated by too much of the same.” Since 2009, they have been releasing music by some of the best electronic music artists from around the globe. Their catalogue includes 12″ singles and albums by Juju and Jordash, Robert Hood, San Proper, and Vakula. The music is varying in styles, but remains consistently dancable. Styles range from mellow, jazzy, ambient techno, to disco inflected house, to noisy, gritty acid.
I am always excited to find out that a new release is coming out from these guys.
